Utilizing GREBLON -- a natural ceramic coating from Germany, the Green Earth Pan by Ozeri is one of the world's first frying pans to achieve non-stick perfection while remaining absolutely free of PTFE, PFOA and other harmful chemicals. This version of the Green Earth Pan features a textured ceramic cooking surface designed to prevent food bonding for superior non-stick performance. The elevations of the textured cooking surface also create air pockets which distribute heat underneath food to enhance cooking performance. Conventional non-stick cookware is achieved through a coating of PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), a synthetic substance that has waxy properties. At very high temperatures, PTFE begins to decompose and release fumes which are documented to be lethal to birds and small pets, and which can be harmful to humans. In addition, traditional pans incorporating PTFE are manufactured with the aid of PFOA (PerFluoroOctanoic Acid), which the EPA has classified as a 'persistent pollutant of the environment'. Hot Little Pan! By Jennifer Savage
I have never been as picky about my non-stick pans as my stainless. After 5 years, my Calphalon non-stick set (which was always just so so)was really getting worn and after cooking eggs last week and having most of them stick to the bottom of the pan, I knew I was ready to shop...I had no idea, though, that I would fall in love with a little green pan!! LOL! I searched Amazon and this green pan kept coming up in the search result, so I figured, okay, it has good reviews AND the added bonus of not adding chemicals to my food! When I received my pan, the first thing I noticed was it was sturdy, much more so than the picture illustrates. The next thing was the textured bottom inside the pan, and I thought, Uh Oh, this will grab my eggs and never release them!!!!! So of course I had to know so I rinsed the pan, dried and started heating up on the stove to cook scrambled eggs with NO OIL!! I mean, if it is going to be bad, I want to know now and eliminate that future issue. I started cooking the eggs and stirring them and it LOOKED like they were sticking to the bottom and I am thinking to myself, yep, super pan, can't even cook an egg and before that thought was finished the egg started releasing from the pan and mixing into the rest of the egg and perfect scrambled eggs were born!!! This is really the best non-stick I have ever owned. It feels solid, is truly non-stick and yes, I love the color....I will be purchasing the other two sizes!

So far this frying pan has exceeded my expectations for "non sticky-ness", I realize it is new and it should. I used a light spray as usual and everything turned out great, including easy clean up after. The pan does seem to hold heat longer than my old pans did and with a more even heat, a big improvement. So far I'm very happy with my purchase.

Works much better than my teflon non-stick coating. This a great pan and nothing beats the safety of the ceramic coating. The handle has a soft touch coating, and the pan works on induction stoves. Very happy with it.
